What is ecstatic dance?

Ecstatic dance is a form of sober free-dance where we let go of our mind to get more into our body. We move to the rhythm and move freely to the music with no judgements of ourselves or of the others. The dance can be described as a form of movement meditation. You are welcome to feel and experience the full spectrum of human emotion and to express it on the dance floor. While we encourage the full spectrum of expression as a way to honor ourselves, we do so while honoring others where they are at, while also honoring the space. Ecstatic dance has been practiced throughout human history as a ceremonial way to commune in celebration.

Young, old, short, tall, normal, weird, all genders and all races, everyone welcome and every dance move encouraged.

Ash Guerrieri will be setting up a food lounge and altar space for us all to enjoy next to the dance space. A non-caffeinated herbal tea blend will be on-tap.

Who are the hosts?

Marc Statz is an artist with an obsession for making music, dancing, tea and creating art. He learned ecstatic dance facilitation in Spain with Dance The Medicine, an international collective of established conscious and Ecstatic Dance organizers, movement facilitators and DJs.

John Stuart aka LoveAmplified is an accomplished sound alchemist as a DJ, producer/MC and Vibrational Medicine practitioner.

For over 25 years, his dynamic style beckons the masses to partake with him on an alchemical journey through sound. To be in John’s presence is to experience his very special brand of mind-expanding, body-grooving & soul-soothing soundscapes, which he uses as a medium to amplify the spirit of personal expression, oneness, freedom & love.

Tink is fired up to create dance floors in the Midwest that empower people to step outside their comfort zones and express themselves freely through dance after having spent the last few years living nomadically and learning ecstatic dance DJing professionally.

Her philosophy: break the box you’re living in and blaze a new path that’s fully yours. Tink wants to see you fully tapped into your own vibrant radiofrequency. Her distinctive blend of house, electronic, and world music create an atmosphere primed with permission to move freely and a flirtatious invitation to free the animal inside your body so that it can live untamed and wild in the jungle of your full & electric heart.

Pricing $25 Tickets must be purchased online and presented at the door. We do not offer refunds unfortunately, but we can exchange with those who are on the waitlist if there are any waitlist signups.
